The ultimate wedding workout plan
With all the stress that comes with planning a wedding, upping your exercise routine will not only help you look great during the big day, but you’ll feel great on the inside too.
We all know that exercise releases endorphins (happy hormones) which can help keep stress at bay and boost your confidence.
RaceFit Manager, Ian Howell, has created a list of full-body workouts to suit a range of wedding dress styles and tailored suits. So, no matter what your look is, we’ve got the perfect plan for you.
Targeting back muscles; strengthening your back will help improve your posture
- Bent over row
- Lat pulldown
- Assisted pull up
Shoulders, arms, neck and chest; these workouts will sculpt and tone those typical trouble spots
- Upright row
- Tricep dips
- Bicep curls
Core strengthening; for maximum impact
- Seated Russian twist
- Skipping
Glutes, back, hamstrings, and quads; focus on your greatest assets!
- Squats
- Lunges
- Glute bridge
Lower body; wow your guests with lovely lean legs
- Jumping lunges
- Side lunge
- Step-ups
Try and block out around an hour or so to focus on both cardio and strength, however, you can determine how much of that time is spent on each type of exercise. Full-body cardio and strength training should be carried out four to five times per week, including boxing to work the core.
