BAME Community Access

The Centre is excited to launch a BAME outreach program addressing the barriers to accessing health and wellbeing facilities. The Centre has strong links to other charities and stakeholders to allow for referrals to relevant support where it matters most. While we understand that cultural, religious and economic factors can become a barrier to accessing health and wellbeing facilities which in turn affects individuals health. West Suffolk Council have agreed to fund this project and allow for access from April 2023 to March 2024.

The Centre has set up dedicated sessions on which we base these on gender, religious background, and culture of which allow for these barriers to be addressed and ease customers into a health and wellbeing routine.
